Project Summary

Acacia Network is NY's largest direct service Hispanic nonprofit. More than 150,000 people benefit from its integrated health care, housing, economic development, and social services. Acacia needed to maintain and increase state and city funding allocations to provide fully integrated, bilingual, and culturally competent services. 

Approach

Over more than a decade of collaborationMirRam has developed and executed City and State budget plans that include strategic outreach to all levels of government, education campaigns and demonstration visits to showcase the organization’s unique services across the State.

Results

Through the MirRam Group’s work plan, Acacia has increased its platform across the state and secured City capital funding along with City and State discretionary funding increases, including in its housing and senior funding portfolios. Acacia has established strong relationships with many City and State agencies including HPD, DOHMH and government leaders throughout the state.
